Safeguard Human, Social, and Economic Rights

Objective :

By 2030, improve protection of labor, women, children, persons with disabilities, and economic
rights in 25 African countries.

Activities :

  • By 2028, advocate for and support policies enabling universal access to healthcare,
    education, and social protection in at least 20 member states.
  • Develop an “Access to Rights Scorecard” to benchmark progress, monitor outcomes,
    and provide transparent reporting for policymakers and stakeholders.
  • Integrate digital campaigns and e-learning tools to raise awareness on economic and
    social rights across communities.
  • Train 2,000 policymakers, civil society actors, and community leaders by 2030 on
    economic, social, and human rights, focusing on inclusive policy development, advocacy,
    and compliance.
  • Establish a “Human Rights Innovation Lab” to develop practical solutions for promoting
    economic and social inclusion, such as accessible education platforms and healthcare
    delivery innovations.
  • Launch virtual training modules to reach participants in remote regions, ensuring
    equitable access.
  • Publish an annual Human and Economic Rights Report covering at least 30 African
    countries, analyzing progress, challenges, and emerging trends in labor rights, gender
    equality, children’s rights, persons with disabilities, and economic rights.
  • Use interactive dashboards and data visualizations to make reports accessible to
    governments, investors, and civil society.
  • By 2030, develop and implement CSR and human rights compliance frameworks for
    100 corporations, focusing on labor rights, gender equity, economic inclusion, and
    environmental responsibility.
  • Introduce a Corporate Social Impact Certification to recognize companies adhering to
    ethical, rights-based, and sustainable practices.
  • Organize annual workshops and benchmarking forums for participating corporations to
    share best practices and innovations.
  • Conduct regional advocacy forums annually to empower communities to demand
    economic, social, and human rights protections.
  • Partner with media, NGOs, and digital platforms to run innovative campaigns
    highlighting the impact of rights-based approaches on inclusive economic
    development.
