Promote Gender Equality and Inclusive Economic Participation

Objective :

Ensure 500,000 African women and youth entrepreneurs gain access to finance, training, and trade opportunities by 2030.

Activities :

  • By 2030, provide direct support to 50,000 women-owned enterprises across Africa
    through access to finance, mentorship, business development services, and market
    linkages.
  • Launch a Women’s Enterprise Accelerator Program incorporating digital tools, e
    commerce training, and investor matchmaking to scale impact.
  • Introduce annual recognition awards for high-impact women-led businesses to
    promote visibility and replication of best practices.
  • Advocate for and support the adoption of gender-responsive trade, economic, and
    investment policies in 20 African states by 2027.
  • Develop a Gender Policy Benchmarking Toolkit to evaluate policy effectiveness, track
    progress, and provide actionable recommendations to governments.
  • Conduct multi-stakeholder policy dialogues and virtual workshops to engage
    policymakers, civil society, and the private sector on gender inclusion.
  • Establish 10 regional platforms by 2030 to empower women and youth in trade
    diplomacy, negotiation, and leadership roles.
  • Integrate mentorship programs, digital collaboration tools, and leadership academies
    to strengthen skills, networks, and influence in policy spaces.
  • Facilitate cross-border knowledge exchange and partnerships to enhance
    representation of women and youth in international trade forums.
  • Train 20,000 women and youth entrepreneurs by 2030 on e-commerce, fintech
    adoption, and innovative business models.
  • Develop online learning modules and mobile applications to expand reach, particularly
    in underserved and rural communities.
  • Establish a Gender and Inclusive Economic Participation Dashboard to track enterprise
    growth, policy adoption, and platform engagement.
  • Publish an annual Gender and Economic Inclusion Report highlighting achievements,
    lessons learned, and recommendations for scaling impact.
