Ambassador Emmanuel Amara Vandi Fomba is the Founder and Global President of the Global Chamber on African Trade, Rights and Economic Development (GCATRED). He brings over two decades of experience in financial management, humanitarian development, and community empowerment. His leadership is defined by a strong commitment to advancing Africa’s economic transformation, human rights, and sustainable global partnerships.
Throughout his career, Amb. Emmanuel has worked across public and nonprofit sectors, dedicating over 15 years to development initiatives that promote inclusive growth and sustainable livelihoods. His work has empowered women and vulnerable groups through entrepreneurship, agribusiness, skills training, and access to essential social services. As former Director of Administration and Finance for CHOWCHIN–SL, Amb. Emmanuel led the expansion of programs that improved child protection, maternal health, and girls’ education in Sierra Leone’s underserved districts, impacting thousands of lives.
At GCATRED, he provides strategic leadership in shaping the organization’s mission, governance, and global agenda. His responsibilities include driving international partnerships, promoting ethical trade and investment, advocating for equitable development policies, and strengthening institutional capacity across Africa.
Amb. Emmanuel also represents GCATRED at global platforms, fostering collaboration with governments, international organizations, and the private sector to advance trade facilitation, human rights, and sustainable economic growth. Morris is the Director of Diaspora Affairs for the PanAfrica Tourism Board. He is also the Executive Director of the African Tourism Showcase. He is also a Board Member of Eye Health Africa CIC (UK 🇬🇧 and Uganda 🇺🇬) and is also the International Representative of Molex Foundation Africa (Ghana 🇬🇭), a STEM foundation for the Youth.
Morris has an Executive MBA from the University of Hull, an Honours Degree in Statistics, specialist Diplomas and Certificates including Airline Economics and Aircraft Finance from Airbus Industries.
